Front Yards: 17 from real Napa & North Bay projects

A front yard has two audiences: the street and the people inside the house. I design the view from inside first — what you see from the front windows every day — and then make the approach read as intentional from the curb. Function leads: a clear route to the door, a sense of arrival, a place for the eye to rest. Planting softens the driveway and entry hardscape so the house sits in the landscape rather than on it. Respecting the existing trees and character is what makes it look like it was always meant to be there.
